Massive hammer GET: Clash of the Titans screenshots

It’s hard to say why I keep choosing to write about Clash of the Titans. It’s as if a mysterious force is pulling me toward this game adaptation of the upcoming film. It looks to be a decidedly mediocre action game, and yet, I feel oddly compelled to continue posting all of the screenshots Namco Bandai sends our way.

This time — thank goodness! — there’s actually something worth highlighting. Namely, the bigass hammer Perseus has his hands on, and the ..read more

Steambot Chronicles 2 is (still) in the works

Yes! Irem has officially stated that the sequel to Bumpy Trot (known as Steambot Chronicles to western gamers) is in development for the PS3!

Well, still in development, at any rate. Y’see, Bumpy Trot 2 was first announced at the Tokyo Game Show…in 2006. After another quick trailer shown at TGS the following year (you can see it below), Irem went dark regarding the game until a magazine scan showed up in 2009 (also visible below).

Now, ..read more

The Daily Hotness: GDC 2010 is GO!

Well, not officially, but we’ve already been to some GDC meetings today. The main show kicks off on Wednesday and it’s going to be a week of crazyness. And what better time than to introduce a new site skin and a new video site. Awesome all around!

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will totally suck, the forums have a new administrator, we reviewed God of War III, we’re giving away a PlayStation 3, Steam is coming to Mac and more happened on ..read more

These Fallout: New Vegas screens ar-OMG MUST SKIN GECKOS

As a veteran of Fallout 2, I am almost physically incapable of resisting the urge to skin Geckos, the mutated descendants of…well, geckos, that populated the the area. The screenshot above, part of a new batch posted by Fallout fansite Duck and Cover, have confirmed that I will spend much of my time in Fallout: New Vegas killing geckos and ridding them of their outer coverings. Perhaps I shall make them into a fine set of boots, or maybe a ..read more

Here come the 80s in Lips form

Rocking out to 80s music is awesome. In fact it might be one of the greatest musical experiences one can ever have. Proclaiming that you are once again going on your own, down the only road you’ve ever known is right below hearing Itzhak Perlman and Yo-Yo Ma play together live. Sadly, the 80s are over and the music long gone, but happily there are plenty of opportunities (80s nights, karaoke, Rock Band, etc.) to relive them one song at ..read more

New Prince of Persia trailer gets the heart pumping

God, I want to be excited for the Prince of Persia movie. The series has been one of my favorites from its earliest roots on ancient computers to the divisive newest game. I want it to be good so incredibly badly. And thus, every time a new trailer lands like the one above I look for more and more hints that this won’t just be a big budget catastrophe. My fears have been slightly assuaged, but are far from gone.

Spectral Force Genesis: Exclusive new screens

Not to long ago we pointed you to upcoming DS game Spectral Force Genesis. The mix of war sim and strategy RPG game play sounded very interesting, but what we really want to see more of is the draw-on-the-screen style strategy type battle system, where you’ll use your stylus to do things like draw your path lines for attacks. Of course, I’m all for the worldwide interaction, where you’ll make alliances and trade agreements, among other things.

Check out these new ..read more

How Activision can become popular

Evil publisher Activision has an image problem. Much of that problem stems from the fact that evil publisher Activision is evil, and everybody knows it. Perhaps if Activision were less evil, its public image would improve, but since being evil is both profitable and fun, that’s never going to happen. This is a problem, however, because gamers are starting to get wise to Activision’s nefarious ways, and that can’t stand.

Not to worry, however, because this is America, where you can ..read more

Save yourself some time: avoid this Risen glitch

One of many indicators of a solid port is if the studio took the time to squash bugs from the original version of the game. In the case of Risen it appears as if Piranha Bytes missed at least one — and it’s a big nasty, terrible one.

In the third chapter in the game, your no-longer-shoeless adventurer will have to face the dangers of the Volcano Keep in order to do the whole “save the world” thing. In the process, ..read more
